About

Alleviation of pain and injury through hands-on therapy.

G’day,

I’m Dr. Ethen Kauiers - Osteopath, Anatomy educator and ex-Personal Trainer.

Throughout the years I’ve prioritised two things throughout; understanding peoples’ bodies and in the process, understanding people…(it really helps getting along with whoever you’re working with).

Physical therapy takes on different forms, but its power is in providing direct alleviation and management, where medications or surgeries may not entirely succeed.

Hence, my belief is in delivering manual, hands-on based solutions to bring about comfort. Without comfort, it’s hard to pursue long-term improvement; it’s what forms a series of natural progressions.

A little about Dr. Ethen Kauiers

(Osteopath)

During my studies at Monash University in studying Science, I had more passion for understanding training and overcoming personal injuries than for studying itself.

After finding an Osteopath who alleviated me from months’ worth of pain in a single treatment, the combination of expert medical knowledge, the human body and hands-on skills convinced me of how powerful manual therapy is, as a form of ‘medicine’.

Thus, a Masters’ degree in Health Science (Osteopathic Sciences) seemed like the answer. This was really the beginning of a pursuit to diversify my knowledge of how best to help people through a number of opportunities. And the opportunities keep on coming.

Throughout a variety of professional experiences, I gained an appreciation for first hearing people and what they had to say, then understanding the nature of their physical pains / disabilities, before putting into practise both direct, hands-on therapy in combination with rehabilitative advice for long-term improvement.

In my years of experience managing injuries, first as a trainer, then as an Osteopath, the state of wellbeing someone can return to from acute or chronic injury / disease is unknown until a person is willing to participate in therapy. Once they’re ready to invest themselves in a gradual plan towards recuperating from pain, the discomfort of moving out of their ‘physical protectiveness’ and ‘beliefs around pain’ are the only obstacles.

Then the magic starts. And expectations are surpassed, again and again.
